King of the Who?

Accounts of two recent wargames:

One, our first test of Dux Bellorum, Daniel Mersey's lastest take on Dark Age warfare. We're still learning the rules, so we made a couple of mistakes in play, but the crew at Knight and Spear are looking forward to giving this another go. In this battle, the wicked Saxons took some body blows from the valorous Late Romans (*almost* Arthur...)

The second, a slightly older test of Brink of Battle, an all-ages skirmish game. Brave Saxons defeat wicked Viking raiders. Marvelous how a few hundred years can change you from good to bad, eh? :-)
