What I'm wearing... black capris and my NY Giant's jersey... which did not help secure a win today!
What I'm reading... The Buffalo Soldier by Chris Bojahlian. It's a really good book about foster care and the role that older folks can play in a child's life.
What's happening in my kitchen... This week I've made salsa, sausage with peppers and onion, we've eaten a lot of sweet corn and polished off my husband's birthday dinner leftovers.
What's outside my window... It was soooooo hot today. We're regretting closing the pool and hubby had to reconnect the air conditioner. It was close to 90 and the humidity was unbearable. We are under an extreme heat warning until Tuesday. This weather is absolutely unheard of here.
What I'm thankful for... today I would have to say air conditioning!!
What I'm smelling... the dog. He desperately needs a bath and has a doggy spa appointment on Wednesday.
What I'm hearing...the air conditioner (are you sensing a theme here??), football on the television and hubby snoring softly on the couch.
What I'm crafting... I'm knitting a little something extra to go with the sweater I finished and am still working on that lap afghan. I've been sorting and organizing my craft room too... I think that counts!
What's on my mind... I've done a lot of thinking about the football/National Anthem controversy. I won't express my full views here because that's not what this blog is about. I will say this, if our president conducted himself in a way that was the least bit presidential and respectful of others, what happened today (and will continue to happen for the foreseeable future) probably would not have happened.
