My biggest problem when running is the lack of photos I'm able to take. Clearly I'm not going to chug around with a beast of a camera round my neck. Stopping to get my phone out of its sleeve is not an option either. So photography has to be for the slow, thoughtful walks, which recently have been magnificent.
It's all to do with the light. Low and angular picking out the colours of nature and making everything look special. Clouds play a big part too. At this time of year, when they are not merged together in a revolting grey mass, we are blessed with billowing sails in azure blue skies. The perfect compliment for those russet and umber leaves.
So my meanderings have taken me through rustic lanes this week, with a good helping of large granite buildings, the likes of which I could only ever hope to own. Leaves and branches are at their autumn best. Lorries trudge along the lanes carrying seed potatoes ready for storage until planting next year.
Back along the beach the turnstones have been out in great numbers. Their stripy wings reflecting beautifully in a millpond sea. Sunsets, of course, continue to impress.
I'll let the photos tell their own story and hope that you have enjoyed some magic November light this week.
